First Rome in the South Chapel area of Fairwood - Elevation A |
...I decided to share some progress of our new community! Let me tell you, this has been the most poignant time in my life where I am being tested on how patient I get to be. It has shifted me to places I never would have gone before; and yet I know the prize is just around the corner. I am filled with gratitude and appreciation for this RH journey. I complain NOT! Continue to keep us in your prayers! So in the meantime, here are some of the Rome's I watched being built since January as we wait on our loan approval. Check it out!

The empty space in the middle is our Lot #28 and to the left is a Victoria Falls on Lot #29 and to the right is the Oberlin on Lot #27. Today is their settlement/closing. We also have one Naples, and three Milan's being built along the length of this block and in the cul-de-sac next door to us. Everything is coming along nicely. I saw our PM, Greg, who told me, "he cannot wait to build our home" and neither can I. We are on the last leg of the underwriting process and praying for them to approve the loan this month so that we can be placed on the schedule for our pre construction meeting to break ground next month. Fingers crossed!!
What a cute cul-de-sac! You'll be there before you know it and looking back this will all seem a blur.
ReplyDeleteI look forward to the day they call us with the loan approval. It is still a bit unsettling because they cannot take any other steps without it. It really is a cute cul-da-sac because we will only have five houses in the circle and the other side is empty so we don't have to worry about houses facing us plus it will offer plenty of parking for visitors. I cannot wait to this becomes a blur!!!!!!!!!! Thank you for the encouragement!!
DeleteHang in there and it will start happening before you know it!
DeleteThanks Thomas!! I am diligently a workim on it. Patience is definitely a virtue. I literally know how it feels instead of it being a concept. Patience and I have a personal relationship now. 😊
DeleteOops typo I am definitely working on it!

DeleteKeep your eye on the prize! :-)
ReplyDeleteThank you Maria! You know of what I speak!!!
Deletehang in there! i didn't think there were oberlin's in fairwood maybe an avalon?
ReplyDeleteThanks Asia! Oh, yes, it's an Oberlin. I met the owner who saw it in her client's home and was able to build it in Fairwood. We also have a Belford, Zachary, and Courtland's amongst us too!
ReplyDeleteJust found your blog! What the heck is taking so long? When we went under contract we were told we had to meet with the loan officer within 7 days and that we would have an answer one way or another within 3 weeks of applying for the mortgage. I knew that those 3 weeks were going to be agonizing and I was truly dreading it... but to my surprise we got a call within a week that said we were approved contingent upon us paying off a few small balance credit card bills (which we did immediately).
ReplyDeleteI can't even imagine your frustration and I can't fathom what is taking them so long to approve it!
But the silver lining is the longer you stay in your small apartment, the longer you are saving money :o) Think of it that way!
I will keep you guys in my prayers! Hopefully you get that loud resounding YES! very soon!
Let's see.... we had to do the same things you all did to raise the score. We did that and a whole lot more. The score rose; however, not where it needed to be. Than, we tried another option to increase the score and it DID; but it took months for the score to move which was crazy. We could not beleive it and neither could they! So now, we are working on the contingencies and gathering extra documentation which they need to approve the loan. It's been crazy! It's tested our patience on so many levels. We are actually grateful they are doing everything possible to get the loan approved instead of kicking us to the curve. Thank you for your prayers! We need them.
