I put this picture here because this is the expression on my face (tired) while reading this late night email that we just received from our SR at 11:08 pm last night that reads "we are unable to move forward with the building of your home because the requests to move the vents over 5-10 inches in the loft, the family room and bedroom #2 are of concern to us. We do not know whether or not it will cause a problem with the energy star rating of the home. If the request is approved, it is gonna cost ya!" I immediately sent a return email and told her to cancel/delete the request because this has officially turned into a NIGHTMARE!
A SISTAH IS TIRED!

I put this picture here because it reminds me of how long we have been on this journey. We were visiting our LOT #28 during the month of February or March! It was a big pile of grass at that time. I am going DOWN! It is time for me to drop down to my knees, AGAIN, because I feel like giving UP!
I put this picture here because it reminds me of shedding the old to make room for the new. My locks were flowing down my back and yet, I knew I had to cut them.
Will this house ever be BUILT???
With that said, it's time to move forward!
I let go and let GOD!
Dear God, please let the building begin on our new home on Lot#28 in Fairwood by Monday, Oct 1 and allow us to close on our new home easily and effortlessly and make a smooth transition from renters to new homeowners! Amen

Aw, hang in there! Cyberhugs {{}} and God Bless you!
ReplyDeleteSo sorry to hear about the delay. We certainly understand the frustration that comes with those emails! Hang in there though...it will happen. Just remember...."it's not always easy, but it's always worth it"!
ReplyDeleteI'm sorry :( I want to say I know what you're feeling, but I haven't had to deal with this for nearly as long as you have! I hope you are able to move forward soon!
ReplyDeleteThose late night/early morning emails are a pain. So if you delete that request when will they be able to proceed? We need all of our neighbors in so we can proceed with our party plans. I'm going to keep praying for you sis.
ReplyDeleteAny time they throw Energy Star at you, it's definitely time to retreat on a request. Whatever cost of that change is going to go through the roof because they would have to have a design engineer re-calculate everything, alter drawings, etc. Hopefully after getting this cleared up you can get a Pre-Construction meeting on the schedule.
ReplyDeleteIts so funny that they used the Energy star excuse with us twice with our requests.... they eventually gave in after we asked for paperwork on how it would effect it....We were putting up a wall between living room and dining room...Just hang in there .. it will happen soon!!!!!
ReplyDeleteI feel your exhaustion…praying for you!
ReplyDeleteTry to hang in there! Everything will all work out in the end!
ReplyDeleteBoo, Nadase. I hate to read this. But I'm with everyone else, hang in there!
ReplyDeleteIf you don't get the vents moved, that won't be a show stopper will it? After all, you will have the very first extended porch on an Elevation C Rome in all of Fairwood...maybe even the DC area. We too look forward to having our cul-de-sac completed and having our first community social event.
ReplyDeleteI know its tough and you're feeling down. But, hang in there and stay strong.
ReplyDeleteHang in there, everything will work out!
ReplyDeleteNadase I just hate those pics of you so sad, you truly look sad, now you need to post a new pic since you have been moving forward girl!!! Remember we are breaking ground TOGETHER!!
ReplyDeleteHi DW, I will be sure to post another picture after our pre construction meeting which is on Wednesday at 9:00 am and they confirm we are breaking ground on Monday, October 1. They sent another email. Apparently they do not have our brick color on the selection sheet. So prayerfully this does not turn into another delay.
DeleteThe process is definitely not painless, but worth the journey. I have spoken to my wife about being mindful of the blessing we have recieved. Some folks leave the creator out of all this, stay in prayer and you will be surprised how things work for the best.
