Mini Update

Spoke to our SR today who said that (1) we can expect to receive an email this week that our loan is ratified and (2) the county is in favor of the front porch on Elevation C and it should be approved to build.  She mentioned this last time, so it looks promising.  Once we get the approval for the build our names are scheduled for pre construction meeting and breaking ground.  Again, this is still working with our original timeframe which means end of August or first week of September and closing the beginning of December.  Dates:  TBD

  2. Sounds like good news. Hopefully it all comes together this week. And when you move in in December, the entire RH blogging community can come to your housewarming party to celebrate the "world's most patient RH builders"! ;)

    1. Rachel/Tommy, every time I look at your house it gets beautiful each time. I have to admit, it's something about the porch that makes me smile. I have joked before that as we were growing up when it started getting dark, our mother would allow us to sit on the stoop. So this porch represents my upgraded stoop! :-) I HOPE WE GET IT TOO!

  4. That's great news. As long as your preconstruction meeting happens within the next few weeks you'll be good.

  5. Thanks Charlie!! I am really pushing for the earliest date possible. It's been nearly two weeks and no other house has broken ground which makes me wonder what's going on. They usually break ground with at least one house per week.

  7. Geesh, we can't wait--it seems like it is taking forever! My prayer is that they call to tell us it's approved, instead of feeling set-up, bamboozled as we did with Elevation E. I also have one other custom request that is easy to resolve so both of them should be favorable.
