AND the refrigerator we chose is.........

Isn't she lovely!
The door handles go perfectly with the other kitchen appliances!

Love the Space!!
The perfect amount for both my husband and I!
Some people have complained that the ice box takes up some of the cubic feet on the top level; however, it's perfect for us!
I love the Flex Draw (middle draw) for our grandchildren to grab their snacks!  The possibilities are unlimited with the flex draw!

There are several fun APPS installed that are user friendly!  Calendar, Pandora, Weather, Twitter, Photo Album, Memos, Recipe/Cookbook App and a host of others

We chose this French Door Refrigerator for several reasons after doing much research around our personal preferences, needs, wants and desires:

1.  I have always wanted a larger fridge to manage food temperature for the variety of foods I store.
2.  In choosing a larger refrigerator the french door was most attractive to me and for some reason the side by side fridge never struck my fancy.
3.  When I discovered the Samsung with Apps, I was struck by the technology since I love gadgets and the unlimited possibilities of fun that both my husband and I get to have with the Apps application.
4.  The Samsung comes with the extra Flex Drawer giving us four doors instead of three.   I also love that our grandchildren will have easy access to the snacks stored in the Flex Drawer that Grandma keeps on hand for them when they visit.
5.  The Samsung has the gray sides instead of the black which would not interrupt the interior design in the kitchen.
6.  The Samsung's 28 cubic feet was just the right amount of storage space because my husband and I will be the daily consumers.
7.  The Samsung's door handles are very very close in design to our other appliances which doesn't give it that choppy look and feel.
8.  We did fall in love with the LG 31 cubic feet especially with the two way door which was fabulous; however, we had to deduce to what would work and what wouldn't work and the LGs structure and design conflicted with our other appliances.
9.  The Samsung's stainless steel match the other appliances perfectly; again, keeping with the uniformity in the interior design.
10.  We have a fabulous family member who will hook the refrigerator's wifi system up correctly to avoid the issues some people have mentioned with the wifi.  He is a manic geek with an IT degree and IT business which gives us great confidence with the hook up structure.
11.  The Samsung was on sale at the time of purchase and we got an excellent deal including several hundred dollars in rewards for a future purchase.  We have the best buy rewards that gives you a percentage of your dollars back from all your purchases which is sweet!!
12.  There are a host of other benefits and features that you can find on a fellow bloggers post Maria at http://ryanhomesjourney.blogspot.com/2012/08/my-refrigerator-to-be.html who picked the same fridge.  She provided those details for your reading pleasure.  Check it out!
13.  Lastly, Best Buy was willing to delay delivery of our refrigerator without additional fees.

AND, the refrigerator is just adorable and I can't wait to use it.

  1. That refrigerator is ridiculous... but in a good way!

We were originally set on a side-by-side, but I think we have changed our minds. That seems to be happening a lot lately! We are leaning more towards a Samsung French door refrigerator now, but it will probably not have the fancy apps or the middle drawer. I don't think we'd use either often enough to make it worth the extra money.

    1. There are so many options to choose from and it's important to find the best fit! Before I found out about the Samsung I was stuck on the LG 31 cubic feet with the double door on the outside--such great features! But the refrigerator is huge and way too much space for just the two of us. AND you are right, the Samsung with APPS its crazy, ridiculously FUN!! AND out of the box! One of the nice perks is an APP that allows you to enter the food inside your fridge that pops up a recipe from those food items to cook a meal. Awesome! The refrigerator is such an inspiration I know I will be cooking dinner way more than I do now! lol

    2. I was in Lowe's yesterday and saw this fridge... so tempting, if there is a way to develop and install apps for it, then maybe one day it will clean the kitchen for me too :D

  5. Hi Nadase! Thanks for the link back. We still LOVE our Sanding refrigerator! We had to buy a network extender, so the router signal would be strong enough for the refrigerator to pick it up. We have been using the Pandora app the most.

We bought the following extender from Best Buy, but checked the reviews on Amazon first: Netgear Universal Dual Band WiFi Range Extender (WN2500RP). It works great. We had bought a different one originally and had to take it back.

    1. Hi Maria, this is excellent information. I knew we would have to do something to create a stronger signal to operator the fridge apps at its fullest capacity. Where did you hook up the extender? Is it on top of the fridge?

  6. We plugged ours in the family room. It should be halfway between the router and refrigerator.

    1. Thanks Maria!! I am so excited about this refrigerator! We need to go to best buy to get the warranty for the fridge and will pick up the extender at that time. I love that refrigerator and the fun that comes with such a useful, functional too in the kitchen.

  7. Nice refrigerator! I haven't seen this Samsung refrigerator in person so it should be interesting. Right now I am in love with the LG 31 cubic feet. I definitely need a large refrigerator for my family of 5 LOL! But I am interested in finding this Samsung with apps. I am wondering if over time the screen may go out or if technology changes so much it becomes obsolete? Decisions...decisions...Once again Nadase your blog has me thinking! -Tamica

    1. Hi Tamica! Thanks for visiting my blog! I am happy I can be of support! I have to admit the LG 31cubic feet was no. 1 on my list for months! They were next to each other at best buy and it was a tough decision. When I stood back to look at them I realized the LG gave me that industrial feel and the handles were not jiving with my kitchen interior design. The LG is awesome especially with that extra front acess door. Lastly, I thought about the fun with the apps my husband and I would have together since he isn't a tetchy person. I am sure Samsung will have an upgrade we can download to upgrade the features. They would never leave this population hanging and I would bet they are already working on an upgrade now just like any other company especially since the fridge has been for over a year now.

Where is your blog? I just see your google page? And where and what house are you and your husband building?
