WE GOT THE POWER! (And tips from bloggers on how to restore storage space)

The lights were installed yesterday throughout the entire house including the garage post lights!  The Lamp Post Light! The Front Door Post Light!  The Floodlights!  The Morning Room outside post Lights! The Recess Porch Lights!
Today to my surprise the Electricity was powered UP!
We definitely GOT  THE  POWER!!!
The Illumination in the house is everywhere and looks fantastic!!
NO WEAPON FORMED AGAINST ME SHALL PROSPER!

AND

THE HEAT IS ON!!
It feels so toasty on the inside of the house -- what a blessing?
I imagined what it would feel like with the fireplace burning on those cold winter nights because it was installed yesterday.  We chose the floor to ceiling fireplace and it looks awesome with the eyeballs above it (more lights)! YAY!
All the vents in the house were blowing warm which I am extremely happy about because it was difficult to enjoy all the progress in the COLD AND IN THE DARK!

AND
YOU CAN RING MY BELL!!
The door bell is LIT up too and it works!!
Just Awesome

***Sorry everyone no pictures to share!  I maxed out my google storage and have not figured out what to do just yet without paying for the additional storage space per month.  Plus if I were to delete pictures from my blog it would delete them permanently and mess up my plan to incorporate my blog into a book. Any suggestions??

  1. Nadase I posted a blog about options if you run out of storage space. I don't have the link because I am on my iPhone, but it shouldn't be hard to locate on my blog. There were several suggestions in the comments too. The easiest was probably to open a second Google account and use it to post pictures on the blog. That will give you another 1GB of storage space without having to pay.

I've been dying to see progress pictures! It sounds like things have been moving along nicely at your house.

    1. Ok, M! Does this mean I will have two blogs instead of one? Do I have to transfer my blog? If I am reading correctly, does it mean, girl...I don't know!! Let me go to your site and see if I can figure it out. Must do that later though. Thanks, M!

    2. No you won't have to start a new blog or transfer. Cody offered that suggestion so he might be able to help you figure it out.

    2. My blog is way behind without pictures but I refuse to pay for additional storage space. Once I am clear this week from classes I can create time in my schedule to figure out what M & Cody recommended for additional storage and upload the load of pictures.

  4. I think you're going to have to create another account on https://picasaweb.google.com/home, then when you upload your photos there, you can (Windows + FF) right-click > Copy Image Location, then paste that value into the URL text box in your blog when you go to insert a picture.

    Hope that helps!

    1. The suggestions are great! I hope it works out because we still have posts to blog and I need space for the after settlement pictures, and decorations pictures over time.

  5. And... if your Picasa storage limit isn't impacted by your Google limit, I think you can just choose the Picasa option to import a pic, similar to uploading your own youtube videos.

    Good luck!

  6. I was just wondering where are you able to check in Blogger to see how much space your photo's are taking up?

    1. Go here (while signed in to blogger, so it knows your account): https://www.google.com/settings/storage/

In the box that says Free it shows you the percentage of storage you have used. I'm at 82%, eek!! :)

    2. I'm at 90%!! I wonder if I can compress my photos in Lightroom to make them smaller...

    3. Oh wow...and you've barely begun! I would definitely make them smaller files. I'm not sure what settings I use when I export mine, I'll have to check. Do you have other blogs that would have used some space? I just did a footnote at the end of a post about this issue.

    4. Geesh, 90% that's a lot! I tried to use another blog I opened up when first started called t; however, it would not allow me to upload photos. So I definitely plan to try one of these options.

  7. Ok, I figured out the easy way to fix the storage limit issue, without having multiple blogs, accounts, URL's, etc.

If you get Google+, all of your photo's from Blogger will be in there, it's my understanding Google+ is easy to get, somehow I already had it, probably because I'm so computer illiterate all the time I most likely signed up for it on accident.

Anyways, there is a tab in Google+ that has all of your photo's stored from your blog. If the pixels are under 2048x2048 then the file won't count towards your storage limit. So what I did was went in and re-sized the photo's to 2048 as my width and let the editor re-size the height proportionately to my original pixels. I changed about 10 photo's and checked my storage, and I'm now down to 80%.

So, if you do this for your existing photo's, and for the photographers out there, re-size your photo's prior to exporting them from your editing software to 2048 along the width (mine ended up being 2048x1360) then the new photo's won't count towards your storage either.

Hope someone finds this helpful, since I was about to delete every photo from my blog, re-size and re-upload - this just saved me hours of work!!

    Happy Friday!!

    1. Google+ is actually available right from your Blogger overview page, to the left - overview, posts, pages, comments, etc., and a link for Google+
