Day 18 - Framing Continues - PT 3 (Tuesday)

I am a couple of days behind on my daily blog because my daughter took ill and was hospitalized.  The past few days have been a world wind.  I must admit I am exhausted and was very concerned about her.  She had a seizure while sleeping which is an isolated event and the doctors are uncertain of the cause.  Yesterday they decided to give her a spinal tap to rule out other disorders/diseases.  I am happy to report she is stable but still in pain from the procedure and is being observed for additional 24 hours so she can be discharged tomorrow.  Please hold her in your prayers.  Thank you so much.

In the meantime, the framing on our home continues.  The following pictures and progress are from Tuesday, October 23.

When I arrived this morning this is what I found!  These guys do not play around!  They will be installing the flooring for the second level and interior framing.

Ryan Homes Green Guard Build Wrapping
Not sure what the brown pipe is for,  I am sure I will find out!

Wow!  I get to photograph the trusted can of energy drink that is inevitably going to be found on the site!

Tobais preparing the gable with the building wrap.

This was the location of the wood furthest from the lot.  As you can see the wood is GONE!
It is on the house!  YES!

These guys move so fast they never have time to clean up!  They just keep it moving and I am not complaining!

Came back this afternoon and found the gables ready for installation
Granddaughter excited to see the house going up!
She said to me "finally grandma"  :-)

The last of the wrapping is being cut down.  The guy is behind the wrapping. lol
This worker is putting the finishing touches on the wrapping.

The wood on top is for the front porch and the wood below is for the roof.

This gable will be installed above the loft.

These pieces are for the garage!

Our house is rising UP and has officially closed the gap between LOT #27 & LOT #29!

This guy started tearing through the wrap for the window openings

This is such a wonderful sight--the gap is slowly closing.  We are expecting the roof to be installed tomorrow.

  1. How scary about your daughter. I hope they figure out what's wrong and that it isn't anything serious. Your granddaughter is a cutie!

The house is coming along nicely. Does the house get wrapped twice? The houses down the road from our lot are wrapped in silver colored stuff that kind of looks like aluminum foil instead of the wrap on your house. I wonder what the difference is between the two.

  3. Keeping your family in my thoughts Nadase. I'm sure you get it all the time, but you do not look old enough to have a granddaughter, let alone one her age...she's super cute.
The house is looking good! By the weekend you'll have a roof and you'll e walking inside :). Bring a trampoline to get to the 2nd floor though since you probably won't have stairs ;) LOL can you imagine that sight! I just chuckled out loud.
