SURPRISE FOR SANDY - WE ARE SEALED!! 
I was very happy to see the men working on our roof during my daily drive by this Saturday because of the expected visit from Sandy. I was concerned about the shingles not being installed because we are expecting a fair amount of rain. This worker is pulling the slabs that were in place for the roof preparation.

| The attic access is in the perfect location - the upstairs laundry room. Some are installed in the bedrooms - if you can get your PM to install in the laundry room this is a good deal. I have seen them installed in the master bedrooms - NOT CUTE! |

| Not sure what this roof reinforcement is called but very happy they came to install it to prevent the water from entering the house from Sandy's visit. Does anyone have any idea what it is called? |

ReplyDeleteAbsolutely!! I am glad our PM was able to get the guys to put the covering up! It's going to make such a big difference once it is over--the less rain inside the house the better.

DeleteGreat to see they moved fast and buttoned up the house before Sandy hit. It's looking good. Let's hope everything stays in during the winds.
ReplyDeleteMy husband stopped by the house earlier to check on the amount of rain that may have entered and to his surprise it's very little. Hopefully, it reminds minimal after the hurricane is over but I am sure it shouldn't affect the house too much.
DeleteGood thing you were able to seal the roof before the storm. It will be a lot harder for you if the roof is not yet done by that time. How is your house now? Sandy definitely put your roof to a test at this early stage. I do hope that everything is okay, and the roof is all good despite the storm. [Willene Fagen]
